Once one of the largest bunker sites in the area to the southwest of Wissant, Stp 120 Pommern had nearly all of its beachfront bunkers removed in 2013 after they were claimed to be dangerous to the public using the beach.
Just one building was left - a R502 type double group shelter – and this is now used to help prevent the loss of the sand dunes and is almost completely buried. It’s fenced off to protect the wildlife which has been established to slow the dune erosion.
