Wn159 Sturmvogel and Wn159a Falke
Two small resistance nests on the Cap Gris Nez cliffs

Wn159 Sturmvogel site overview

What to see
These two small Widerstandsnests stand to the east of the point of Cap Gris Nez and either side of a beach exit and road inland to Le Sodit and Framezelle.
Both featured small observation posts with Falke also the location for a large personnel shelter and defensive Tobruk, the latter having fallen from the cliffs on to the beach below.
The Sturmvogel observation and MG building now forms part of the high-class La Sirene restaurant and can be seen at the eastern end of the dining rooms and kitchen store. A small water storage bunker stands just to the east of this on the rocky beach area.
If you’re visiting here, then take the opportunity to dine at the La Sirene – easily the best food in the area - but make sure you book well in advance.
