Wn93 St Clement
Small position covering the Vire River

Wn93 site overview

What to see
Situated to the north of the confluence of the Vire and L-Aure rivers, Wn 93 St Clement was built to prevent access along the river to the town of Isigny-sur-Mer.
The Wn is located on the eastern banks of the river and features a main gun bunker, two Tobruks, and a personnel shelter.
The Vf4a shrapnel-proof casemate was built for a machine gun - either a MG34 or MG42 - which was positioned facing upriver at a 45 degree angle and was supported by a Tobruk to the south.
Along the road back to Saint Clement you can find a Vf2a single group shelter and an Ic116 type Tobruk.
