Wn23 and Wn24 Aumeville Lestre were two small resistance nests built around an old fort mound across the bay from St-Vaast-la-Hogue. Today the site is almost completely buried on marshy farmland so difficult to access.
On the beach front however there are lots of small Tobruks - many are in a damaged state - including several types for machine guns and captured tank turrets, plus a 1694 Ringstand for a 5cm KwK gun.
