Wn321 Flamanville
Small bunker site with views west to the Channel Islands
Wn321 site overview
What to see
On a clear day you can see the Channel Islands of Jersey, Guernsey, and Alderney from this point on the west Cotentin coast at south west of the village of Flamanville.
Located around the former semaphore station – now café - on top of the cliffs you can find the remains of Widerstandsnest 321 with several buildings still accessible, with care.
The easiest one to visit is the small ammunition building to the right of the café while there are the ruins of two small shelters in the field behind. A defensive Tobruk for a machine gun also stands in the field but is nearly completely overgrown.
The area is also the location of the Flamanville Nuclear Power station which you can see from the semaphore area too.
